  • 104 mineral claims
  • Metalex has a  91.5% contributing interest
  • Kel-ex Development Corp has a 10% free carried interest

TARGET AND RATIONALE

  • Five known kimberlites, four diamondiferous  (uneconomic)
  • This percentage (80%) of diamondiferous to barren pipe is much higher than the global average of 14%
  • Located in a deep part of the Superior Craton
  • This craton seems exceptionally fertile for diamond mineralization with commercial grade kimberlites being found in several areas (Victor, Renard)
  • The exploration target is commercial grade kimberlite hosted diamond deposits, these may occur both bebeath and within the paleozoic platform cover.
  • They can be explored for using aeromagnetics.

METALEX WORK

  • Aeromagnetics  flown over 14,500 sq. km.
  • >500 aeromagnetic anomalies, 118 high priority
  • >23 aeromagnetic anomalies drill tested so far
  • 2 diamondiferous kimberlites: (T1 and U2)
  • >390 ton bulk sample complete on each T1 and U2 pipe
  • Drill testing of regional priority aeromagnetic anomalies in progress.

INFORMATION ABOUT T1

  • Modelled size 200X180 metres (similar to Ekati Panda Pipe)
  • Kimberlite intersected from  137 to +300 metres
  • 4,336 kg of kimberlite processed yielding 1,870 (4.2x the grade of Victor)
  • 59.3% of the diamonds are white
  • Encouraging ratio of macro to microdiamonds
  • 60% of the diamonds are white, 30% "Gem" colour
  • The DeBeers’ Victor mine, (80 km to east) contains 25-28 cpht at  US$300/ct and in ground value of C$2 billion (Victor is dominated by white diamonds)

INFORMATION ABOUT U1/U2

  • A 28,620 line kilometre airborne geophysical survey was flown in late 2006. A total of 34 targets were identified by the survey and have been staked. Priority targets were drill tested resulting in the discovery of 3 new kimberlites (referred to as U1, U2 and U2NW).
  • Initial core drilling of U2 yielded 17 diamonds from a 142.82 kg sample. The diamonds have a coarse size distribution and are predominantly gem quality similar to those recovered from DeBeers’ Victor Mine.
  • Five NQ inclined dileneation holes completed on U2 indicating the kimberlite is approximately 9-10 hectares in size.

FUTURE WORK

  • Complete processing of T1 bulk sample and then U2 bulk sample immediately afterwards.
  • Parcels of recovered diamonds from each bulk sample will be submitted to independent appraisers to determine the average value of the diamonds from both pipes.
